Kaviya’s texting plant in AMP STEM INNOVATION Competition won $5000 and a scholarship in Medicine at University of Adelaide ( International student fees for medical degree is approx. A$500,000 ).
Amongst the judges of AMP STEM Innovation competition was the world renowned inventor of WiFi!
The STEMSEL kit reduces programming time by up to 90% due to its drag-and-drop graphic interface, eliminating the need for hundreds of lines of assembly code.
Kaviya, a 14-year-old student from a southern Indian school, created a prototype called ‘Texting Plant’ that alerts farmers when their plants need watering.
This project won at a previous Royal Adelaide Show and earned her $5000 from the AMP Tomorrow Fund.
